Starting off at an early age and having a full mobile rig by 15, I soon started looking at other opportunities. I blagged my way into some regular pub work at weekends, finishing at 11 and having to be picked up by my dad! Eventually i stumbled into DJing an under 18s night at a local nightclub ‘Time’ in Derby for European Leisure.
At 16, I took an interest in a local radio station Radio Freedom and for 2 years running I was involved in production and presenting shows. Through this, I met my good friend Jason ‘Littleman’ Molloy who was at the time, working for Northern Leisure. I soon became Jason’s warmup and unofficial Lightjockey and it kinda spiralled from there!
My first ‘big’ gig was Genesis in Chesterfield, leading onto The Beach Bar and then Gas St Nightclub in Rugby.
Since then, I’ve continued to work in clubs across the UK, playing many different styles from 70s/80s/90s to chart, dance, indie, rnb, ukfunky, drum n bass…….. and anything else i can slip in! I have always been a loyal and involved DJ at many levels, not just performance & regardless of my big mouth, I have a passion for the job & have made many friends along the way!
The mobile rig has also evolved and is still available for hire – see www.derbymobilediscos.co.uk
